Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)Directed by: Rupert Wyatt Written by: Rick Jaffa, Amanda SilverStarring: James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, Tyler Labine, David Oyelowo This is the first Apes-related film I’ve seen, and I have to say, I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The humans were over-demonized, but it was fun to cheer for the animals. Honestly, I’d be okay if our race was taken down by these awesome beings. We kind of stink right now. All the props to Andy Serkis, and the minds behind the special effects, because that’s what makes this movie exciting! My rating: 3.5/5
