The tone, the pace, the direction and look to this film is just perfectly spot on. It’s a super slow burn, and at times, that’s what holds this film back. Much like The Innkeepers, Ti West’s other flick, the slow burn aspect loses a bit of its tension and burns out after a while, but the conclusion is well worth it.
